Silver Bells - Our Kenyan link school

On Wednesday 11th July Miss Cooley held a sponsored Daily Mile to raise money for Silver Bells Welfare School in Kenya. Some of the children from Year 2 held an assembly to raise awareness and they also made videos for this website to share with parents.

The event was a massive success with every child taking part. The children ranged from 2yrs old to 11yrs old and all had to run around the field eleven times to complete the mile. The children had great fun and their fitness levels have all improved as a result of all the training. The total amount raised from this event was a staggering £ 1665.92!

Margaret Daniels who runs Silver Bells said, 'Wow wow, this is unbelievable, we are so happy and very excited. May God bless everyone who participated, what wonderful news! I appreciate everything you do. We will use this money to buy new uniform for all the children and some new text books.'

Thank you to all who took part and to all who supported us in this worthy cause.

Some of the children from Year 2 have made some videos to share with you about the history of Silver Bells. They explain how we have grown together over the past 3 years, how we have learnt from one another and how we intend to raise money for them this year. Please watch our videos to see what you think and decide how you can support us! There is also a power point attached with the story created by Miss Cooley should the videos not work on your computer system.
