Year 4
Welcome to Year 4!
White Rhinos and Cheetahs
This half term, Year 4 have been learning all about plastic pollution and what we can do to help the environment. At the start of the term, all the children made a plastic pledge to reduce their use of single-use plastic. These have been on display in the junior library for all the school to see.
The children today have ended their topic by creating a mosaic picture using plastic bottle lids to create an underwater scene to highlight the plastic pollution in our oceans. The children worked together in teams to create the underwater scene and are very proud of their hard work. The picture above is now on display in the White Rhinos classroom.
Whilst finding out about ways to protect the environment, the children were very keen to adopt an endangered animal instead of receiving a gift from their teachers for Christmas. We are pleased to announce that White Rhinos class have adopted a rhino for the year and Cheetahs have adopted a polar bear. The classes will receive regular updates about their animals which we will of course share with the children.
Thank you for all your support and we hope you all have a great Christmas
