Vocabulary Ninja
Word of the week
Vocabulary Ninja is a scheme designed to deepen the use and understanding of language. The aim is to encourage both children and adults to use a higher order language, both in their speech and in their writing. A new word will be introduced each week and children can experiment using the word in different ways. They need to discover the different meanings of the word and how this can change when adding a prefix or suffix. A child from each class, who uses this word in the most effective way will be celebrated in assembly, receive a certificate and have their writing displayed in our school. Please try to encourage this project at home too. You can use this vocabulary in your everyday speech, when completing homework or by inventing different songs.
