Choir

We have an amazing choir who regularly perform at events. Miss Everett is our choir leader and she is fantastic at all things musical! Choir rehearse every week on a Friday and they love singing. Our singing assemblies also raise the roof in both schools with popular songs sung alongside some classics.

Our choir visits the local care homes  where they sing carols to our elder community at Christmas, spreading the Christmas joy! We also love to perform at community events, fayres, and of course invite parents/families into school for special performances. We want this is a way of  connect with our community and to provide cultural capital for the children involved.

Each year the choir go to the Southampton Festival of Music and drama where they perform to a huge audience from different schools.

Music Lessons

Each week Mr Vaughn teaches guitar and drum lessons and Miss Everett teaches keyboards and flute for children from year 3 upwards. We also offer violin and clarinet lessons from Hampshire music service.  Lessons are booked though the office so please get in touch if you would like your child to have music lessons.

We do have scholarships available for children that are particularly gifted in music and are subject to certain criteria please speak to Miss Everett to enquire.

Listen to Me!- Instrument learning for all

In both the infants and juniors Hampshire music service teach different instruments to children each week. At the end of the term the children perform in a mini concert. This enables them to show their learning and participate in a performance to others. Within the lessons, children learn about music notation, rhythm and find out all about the instruments they are learning.
