School Council Elections take place every October. A whole democratic process takes place upholding the British Value of Democracy.  First there are hustings  in individual classrooms and then children voted for their class representative. Elections are held in the junior school hall using a proper ballot box and booths borrowed from the local council offices. The announcement of those elected is made public in an assembly. 

Once the school council has been elected there are regular meetings to discuss and make decisions on issues around school. The school council raises money to put towards projects of the children's choosing.
