Wildground Federation is an established federation of Wildground Infant and Junior schools including two resourced provisions and a nursery. Both schools are judged ‘good’ by Ofsted and ‘outstanding’ in early years.
A vacancy has arisen to appoint a School Business Manager. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team working closely with the Executive Headteacher and two Heads of school. The role will include developing, directing and coordinating the full range of school financial & administrative services as well as taking on the role of PA to the Executive Headteacher. They will also take a proactive role in developing strategies for the longer term use and development of the school site including strategic planning to increase revenue into the school. We would like to find someone who enjoys new experiences, problem solving, using their own initiative, being part of a team and making a difference.
The main areas of responsibility will be finance, administration and personnel with line management responsibility for the administrative team and caretaking/cleaning team.
The successful applicant will be experienced and proficient in the following key task areas:
Budget management, generating and delivering reports, procurement and invoice management, overseeing cash handling, preparing contracts, payroll, health and safety, meeting performance management requirements, recruitment of staff, managing staff teams and diary management.
