Forest School
Wed 13 Nov 2019Our first Forest School sessions have started with the Cheetah's class!
Last week Mr Leftwich and Miss Barratt took the children out into the forest for their first 'Forest School' experience. They had a wonderful time exploring amongst the ancient trees and undergrowth as well as splashing in puddles and finding hidden wildlife. It was great to see such excitement, smiles and growth in confidence in the children.
It is planned that all children will participate in Forest School across a two year cycle.

Antibullying - Change starts with us
Wed 13 Nov 2019This week we have been thinking about the changes we can all make to make school a happy place for all. 'Change starts with us' is a national campaign spearheaded by the Anti-bullying Alliance. It challenges all of us to think about how we treat other people.
We have discussed the simple advice that can help our school stay 'bully free':
Be kind
Show care
Respect all
Include everyone
Smile
Compliment each other.
In classes children have reflected on these messages which fit perfectly with our values and 'Golden Rules'.
We have also reminded children that bullying is
Several
Times
On
Purpose. (STOP)
and that they can talk to any adult to tell them if something is happening to them that makes them upset.
Our pupil support worker- Mrs Kingdon is also available Monday - Thursday mornings to support children with any friendship issues. To speak to her please contact either office.

Sports Day - Friday 12th July
Wed 17 Jul 2019The sun shone for us and the whole event ran like clockwork thanks to the organisation of Miss Cooley. The children enjoyed the variety of events and as you can see from the photos lots of parents came along to cheer them on. The winning House will be announced at the Sports Day assembly on the last day of term.
